Hola!
I'm back with a new portrait after quite a long time. I did this portrait back in summer but I didn't like how some parts turned out so I kept postponing this post. I'm finally posting it now, even though I'm not 100 % happy with it.
I've also recently come back from Israel and it was quite the experience.I might write a post about it in the near future. What do you think?
I've also started a campaign on gofundme.com to raise money for a big tour of Europe I'm planning for next summer. I would deeply appreciate it if you could share it on social media or help me in any way you can (my link) :)
As usual, I'm waiting for your portrait suggestions in the comments.
Have a super happy evening :D
Plan your next holiday!

Jaybird-The ultimate experience
Hello ,lovely people of the world!
Today I want to write about
two topics that are close to my heart :music and sport. I don’t know
about you, but exercising, jogging and even walking are not the same without a
beat to accompany them. Music has always been a passion of mine, whether it was
singing or just listening to it. I
wasn’t that big of a sports enthusiast when I was a kid and even during
my teenage years I remember my mother
nagging me about going outside and taking walks
.
That has changed over the past couple of years and I try to
be as active as possible, even though I don’t have a specific routine that I
follow. This year I thought I’d give jogging a go but I could not imagine jogging without some
headphones on.
When I heard of Jaybird, I immediately thought of my
experience with sports and headphones.
BlueBuds X –this is the name of the headphones-is a product that would
probably be very helpful to anybody out there who likes to listen to music
while he/she trains.
How many times were you jogging/walking and your headphones fell out of your ears? I
find that this happens to me so many times I get quite annoyed :) I have to stop
whatever I’m doing and adjust my headphones. I hate it especially when I’m
dancing. The thing about BlueBuds X that I like most is that it has what they
call Secure Fit-meaning you don’t have to worry about your headphones falling
out.
Another interesting
fact about BlueBuds X is that they are the smallest Bluetooth headphones available. Despite their size,
you can listen to music or take phone calls for up to 8 hours. That sounds
pretty cool to me.
One thing that I haven’t thought about before
is the way sweat affects your headphones. It’s obvious that you
involuntarily sweat when you exercise and some serious exercising causes some
serious sweating :) So the people from Jaybird decided to create these headphones which have
lifetime warranty against sweat.
X-Fit is a feature
that enables you to lift the cord off your neck which would make the headphones
even more comfortable .You might even forget you have headphones on. BlueBuds X
are compatible to pretty much any device, be it Ipod, Ipad, Android or whatever
else you can think of. Your device can be used anywhere on your body without it
blocking the signal. So if you decide to leave your phone in your bag and start
your workout at some distance ,the signal will stay the same .
The BlueBuds X come in 3 sizes (S,M and L) and two colors:
Midnight Black and Storm White.
Oh! By the way, they are the official training headphones
for the USA Triathlon :) If that’s not awesome enough, you have the chance to win a pair of headphones
every day by entering on their website or on my blog(low right corner).
If you want to buy the BlueBudsX now, go to their store and
have fun picking the color :)

Review& Giveaway:GungHo or how to give your brain a boost!
Hello lovely people of the world!
Autumn has finally come!(not that I missed it) You know what that means, right? Coming home from the wonderful summer holidays and starting school/work again.
In my case, college. And if you're a student yourself, you probably go to sleep after midnight and wake up early in the morning just to find yourself falling asleep in class and wondering what the heck you're doing wrong. So when I got the opportunity to try out GungHo,a drink that claims to boost your energy and focus, I did a "happy dance " :)
I got my trial pack which looks like this and consists of 3 little pouches(I had already tried one):
Let me tell you what I think of it and what effects it had on me.
As it says on the package, I drank GungHo after having eaten something(namely breakfast) .The taste is bitter, sweet and sour at the same time, which is great with me.It's not your typical artificial soda flavor.
I went on with my day(which was my day off actually) ,but I did use my brain to learn some new Finnish words(as I'm in the process of learning Finnish at the moment). I can tell you this : I did feel more energetic than usual (not hyper or anything, just more awake :) ) and I was more productive in the Finnish department. It was literally past midnight and my brain would still keep me awake and make me practice Finnish in my head.
So,for me, it did have an effect.A good one.Not to mention the packaging is cute:D
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Got you interested? Want to give your brain a boost and stay awake for a college party? :D Or maybe stay awake to learn,if you are that type of student.Or maybe you're not a student. Doesn't matter.
3 of you wonderful readers will win a trial-pack so you can test GungHo for yourself! :D Yay,that's exciting!* happy dance*
It's international, too :D Just complete the entries in Rafflecopter. Have fun!

Quick and tasty dinner:Pasta and 2 sauce alternatives!
Hello there! Moi! Aloha! :)
I know,it looks as if I've abandoned the blog .I can't believe it's almost 2 months since I last posted something. My excuse for the lack of content is : a) I traveled to Finland in July-August for a little over 2 weeks and b) I've been in a post-vacation sad mood ever since I got back .
It was a lovely WWOOF-ing experience in Southern Finland, but this is post is not going to be about that.If you want me to dedicate an article to my volunteering experience(and how you can travel very cheap in exchange for volunteering),please do let me know !
Today's article is about pasta and 2 delicious sauces that you can prepare in under 15 minutes .I don't know what it is about pasta but I'm sure you've noticed that people of all ages love it,including kids(and you know how hard it is to get kids to eat ).
The pasta I use for these sauces is either gnocchi or fusilli.Of course you can also use ditalini, gomiti, penne rigate or any other exotic sounding pasta you can find :) I don't recommend spaghetti or any thin type of pasta.
I'm a tomato person.I love tomatoes to death and I used to eat pasta only with tomato sauce but today's recipes are for "white" sauces.
A. Alfredo sauce
200 ml milk (200 ml lapte)
1/2 tbsp butter (1 lingura unt)
1/2 tbsp all purpose flour (1/2 lingura faina)
3 tbsp grated hard cheese (3 linguri cascaval ras)
2 garlic cloves,minced (2 catei de usturoi,tocati marunt)
a pinch of salt and ground black pepper (sare si piper dupa gust)
Melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour, stirring constantly.(Topiti untul la foc mediu.Adaugati faina, amestecand constant.)
Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly.(Adaugati laptele gradual, amestecand constant)
Add the grated hard cheese, minced garlic, salt and pepper and let it simmer for 2 more minutes.(Adaugati cascavalul ras, usturoiul tocat, sare si piper si lasati amestecul la foc mic inca 2 minute)
B.Mushroom sauce
3 tbsp butter (3 linguri unt)
1 onion,minced (1 ceapa uscata,tocata marunt)
2 cloves garlic,minced( 2 catei de usturoi,tocati marunt)
115 grams fresh mushrooms,sliced ( 115 g ciuperci proaspete,taiate)
1/2 tsp dried basil( 1/2 lingurita busuioc uscat)
1/4 tsp salt (1/4 lingurita sare)
1/8 tsp ground black pepper (1/8 lingurita piper macinat)
30 g all purpose flour(30 g faina)
250 ml milk( 250 ml lapte)
Melt the butter over medium heat.Add the onion and garlic and saute about 3-5 minutes until the onion is translucent.Add mushrooms, basil, salt and pepper and saute 5 to 10 more minutes.(Topiti untul la foc mediu.Adaugati ceapa si usturoiul si caliti 3-5 minute pana cand ceapa devine translucida.Adaugati ciupercile, busuiocul, sarea si piperul si lasati amestecul pe foc inca 5-10 minute.)
Remove pan from the heat and add the flour.Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.(Luati vasul de pe foc si adaugati faina.Adaugati laptele gradual, amestecand constant)
Return the pan to heat until sauce thickens and comes to a boil.Reduce heat and let it simmer for 2 more minutes.(Readuceti vasul pe foc si lasati-l pana cand sosul se ingroasa si da in clocot.Dati focul mai mic si mai lasati-l la foc inca 2 minute)
Bon appetit !

The artsy corner : Poetry
Hi guys!
It's Friday once again and you know what that means: let's go dancing and have fun 'cause it's the weekend ☺ No,but really...a little dancing won't hurt.
Today I was debating whether to make a Favorite Friday post or go with my artistic impulse.Guess who won..That's right, I want to share two sad poems with you today. Why sad? Because that's the only way I write poems .
Dance
A single thought that makes your mind race fast
And brings your wandering soul into the past
Relive the moments,smiles and laughter
And think again, before and after
Where were your thoughts before we met?
'Cause all you eyes show is regret
Don't waste a single minute more
I needn't have shown you the door
And as your thoughts go on each day
They never stop,come what may
No one I know would stand a chance
To pull you up and make you dance
Shade of grey
It was a cold October night
I saw your face in different light
There was a sparkle in your eye
It was almost begging me to cry
Suddenly,the chilly air
I felt it sting and could not bear
The truth I once denied with force
You blinked and life changed its course
Whatever happened in those days?
You saw the sun and caught the rays
The fire built up in your heart
I pushed "forward",you "restart"
Now I am stuck and you are walking
You can't hear me but I'm talking
My whispers are as loud as breath
Your big eyes hunt me like a threat
And as your heart is catching fire
I just give in and cut the wire
You were to me what words can't say
I was to you a shade of grey
